From Jake Parkinson: Pictures from Tonight's TNR

A big thanks to Jake who was the only person on the TNR with the steady hands and the initiative to save some images from the ride. I am tempted to quote Dickens. "It was the best of times, it was the worst of times." Sometimes bad weather makes the experience more memorable, maybe even more fun. Tony picked the route tonight. The plan was to ride between and around the various small storm systems. That worked pretty well for the first twenty minutes or so. At that point we encountered precipitation in every one of its possible forms; solid, liquid, and semi-solid. As evidenced by the photos, we were forced to take shelter during the worst of the storm. The remainder of the ride was absolutely beautiful riding in and out of smaller storms and random patches of bright sunlight.

JayP's Gravel Pursuit Registration Open

Backyard Series

The Gravel Pursuit will be here before you know it. Challenge yourself with a 60 mile or 120 mile gravel race in Island Park, Idaho. A few reasons why you should register for Gravel Pursuit:
  1. Because it is just outside Yellowstone National Park in the Yellowstone ecosystem. The route actually follows along the border of the park.
  2. Its is the best time of year for weather, changing foliage and animals moving with the least amount of tourists. Ask any local what their favorite time of year is.
  3. You will ride in Idaho and cross the Continental Divide into Montana. Then back again. You will cross the Tour Divide route.
  4. Enjoy the area beyond the event. It is a world class destination! If you like to fish it is a must do.
  5. The west entrance of Yellowstone is 20 miles away from the race headquarters.
  6. If you are thinking about Fat Pursuit Gravel Pursuit will give you an idea of the terrain you'll be on.
  7. pur·suit - noun The action of following or pursuing someone or something. An activity of a specified kind, especially a recreational or athletic one.
  8. It is a lot of fun with like minded individuals.

Final 30 K 2017 Paris-Roubaix + Full Race Video

Hopefully, additional Paris-Roubaix video will be posted over the next few days. These are the best I have seen so far-high quality video with French language commentary. Many of you know that I am no big fan of early mornings, but I set an alarm to watch the live NBC Sports Gold broadcast this morning and did not regret it.

Le Ride Movie

In 1928 a courageous but under-resourced and untested team of four from New Zealand and Australia competed in what is considered to be the toughest sporting event in the world, Le Tour de France. 168 riders started the more than 3,500-mile race, only 41 finished.

Surprisingly this remarkable story about the achievements of these four brave athletes has never been told on film, until now.

Utah Triple Crank

LoToJa in association with Vision Relay and the Iron Lung, is proud to be partner of the Utah Triple Crank award. Cyclists can earn this award by successfully crossing the finish line of all three events in the same riding season. Utah Triple Crank recipients will be recognized during the 2017 LoToJa awards ceremony.

> To learn more about  [VISION RELAY]

> To learn more about  [IRON LUNG]. Sign-up for the Iron Lung in April, use promo code "lotoja", and receive $20 off.
