I'm forwarding to you a poster along with some ride/race information for a gravel event that will be happening here locally in SouthEast Idaho this fall. This event is being organized and promoted by Brooke Jeffs, who is a cyclist from Idaho Falls. She is fairly new to the gravel scene, as she has only acquired a Scott Addict within the last year, but she is very enthusiastic about riding gravel and is anxious to help grow the scene.
The date is September 9th, which unfortunately for me falls on the same day as a NICA race so I will not be able to attend, but as a local bike shop owner I am very excited to see an event of this nature be promoted and organized in the area. "Come crush some gravel and Ride the Angry Horse. This fully supported ride offers three different routes. The FILLY RUN is a rolling 10 miles of all gravel fun, the COLT Run is 45 miles and 4200 vertical feet of climbing. Finally the STUD RUN is 120 miles of EPIC suffering, rolling all the way down and around Blackfoot Reservoir and on through the Grays Lake National Wildlife Refuge, before turning up Horse Creek. ALL of the proceeds will go to saving Wild Mustangs. Come out and ride the untamed."
