Epic Day at Missoula

We had a tremendous day of cyclocross at Rolling Thunder in Missoula on Saturday. The outstanding course was fairly technical with significant amounts of climbing, descending, and mud, as well as a pass through the Big Sky Brewing Co brewery. In spite of its difficulty, the course had a number of fast sections and flowed very well. Dan persuaded me to do a bang-bang with him (two races almost back-to-back). Kellen placed fourth in a fast Cat-4 field. Shae was absolutely flying in both the women’s Cat-4 and Cat-3 races.
Apparently Montana is a haven for multi-million dollar supercars due to its tax laws and super-rich part-time residents. Adjacent to the course were a couple of warehouses full of every exotic you could dream of (pictured with Kellen are a Pagani, two Bugattis, and a Porsche Carrera GT). The cars inside included a McLaren F-1 and rows of vintage Ferraris along with many others. Kellen, who has a very good eye for cars believes we were looking at $100 million of vehicles.
Thanks to Dawn and Kevin for excellent support and to Dawn and Shae for the photos.
