Who Gets Speeding Tickets and Why? Road and Track

During the Grand Tours and other major races, I generally avoid cycling media during the day with the hope of watching the day's action on NBC Sports Gold in the evening as often as I am able. Maybe the Vuelta is the reason that I am posting a story that has nothing to do with cycling.
Consider it a public service to our readers. Regardless of whether you love cars or hate cars, eventually you will have to drive to a distant race, fondo, or trailhead. And if you are like me, you can get pretty impatient on a long stretch of open highway.
This is a fairly interesting article. Here is the single most compelling piece of information. You are unlikely to get a speeding ticket if you are going no more than 10 mph over the posted limit. Above 10 mph, that changes almost immediately. The most common speeding ticket is issued at 12 mph over the limit. If avoiding tickets is a priority for you, keep your Interstate speed below 90 mph.
