In fact, I had not even heard of this before today. Brian did not build this frame, but he helped set up the bike. Power transfer takes place by way of an 18 speed Pinion Drive. There is no derailleur, all the gearing is internal. This is a German product and as far as we know only a tiny handful have made it to the States.
